MemCat Project Presented at CCC 2026 in Copenhagen

The MemCat project was presented at CCC 2026, held on 27 August 2026 in Copenhagen, Denmark.

During the conference, Natalia Spera from INL presented the latest MemCat research on CO₂ conversion to green ethylene, with the presentation entitled:

“CO₂ Conversion to Green Ethylene: A Tandem CZA-Zeolite Catalyst Approach.”

This work was developed within the MemCat project in collaboration with several project partners, including Gaje Singh, Konstantinos Kappis, Mino Borelli, Annette Trunschke, and Yury Kolen’ko from International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory, Braga and Fritz Haber Institute of the Max Planck Society, Berlin.

The presentation focused on the development of a tandem CZA-zeolite catalyst approach for the conversion of CO₂ into green ethylene, highlighting the MemCat project’s efforts to develop innovative catalytic solutions for sustainable chemical production.

The participation at CCC 2026 provided an excellent opportunity to share the team’s research with the international scientific community and to exchange knowledge with researchers working on CO₂ utilisation, catalysis and sustainable chemical production.

Through collaborative research and active participation in international scientific events, MemCat continues to advance and disseminate innovative approaches for CO₂ conversion and contribute to the transition towards a more sustainable chemical industry.
