Last week, Balkaran had the exciting opportunity to present his poster at EuroMOF2025, held in Heraklion, Greece.
The 6th European Conference on Metal Organic Frameworks and Porous Polymers featured Thematic Sessions covering all dimensions of MOFs and related materials – from fundamental synthesis to industrial-scale applications.
In addition, a Young Investigator Symposium preceding EuroMOF2025 has been provided a platform for the next generation of scientists to shape the future of this discipline.

This prestigious event is one of the largest gatherings in the porous materials research community, bringing together 695 participants from 48 countries—a truly global platform for exchanging ideas and fostering collaboration.
Balkaran’s presentation highlighted our work within the MemCat project, where we are developing innovative strategies for size tuning of porous materials aimed at advancing membrane-based applications. The poster session sparked engaging discussions, provided valuable feedback, and created connections with leading experts pushing the frontiers of porous materials research.
Being part of such a vibrant and international community was a fantastic experience, and we look forward to seeing how these insights and collaborations will shape the future directions of our project.
